Our vineyards constitute of 21 hectares of land in Abruzzo region.
Terreni di Tollo
Tollo is a small village on a small round-shaped hill of 150 meters altitude from sea level. The area is particularly suited for cultivation of wine grapes. Favourable climatic conditions and clay soil makes the local wines very unique, meriting their own DOC – Tullum.
In Tollo we have 4 hectares equally divided between Sabatiniello (Pinot Grigio variety), Sterparo (Pecorino variety), Fosso di San Biagio (Montepulciano d’Abruzzo variety) and finally nearby our winery the Casale Jaquantonio in Piane Mozzone (Trebbiano d’Abruzzo variety).
The vineyards are close to Tollo and share the same favourable characteristics. Facing South and South-Est the vines are have propitious exposure to the sun. The clay soil assures that necessary amount of water arrives to the vines throughout the year.
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo variety is cultivated in both Feudo di Lazzaretto and Valle d’Arielli on total of 3 hectares.
Tenuta Nicante di Fara Filiorum Petri
The vineyards constitute of 14 hectares situated at contrada Vicenne in Fara Filiorum Petri, a small village nearby the slopes of Maiella mountain, approximately 300 m from sea level. Chalky soil, elevated thermal excursions, altitude and exposure to South and East create very good conditions for cultivating grapes for superior quality wine. The area is dedicated to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino and Pinot Grigio varieties that match perfectly the climatic conditions.
