Paparocco Montepulciano D’Abruzzo DOC
Our flagship red wine of limited edition. For this wine we’ve used only our best Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes from the exceptional vines planted on 1973. The image of the man pulling the bull on the label symbolizes the late grandfather Rocco who sold his precious animal to buy its first land for grape cultivation. Thanks to this bull “Vigneti Radica” was born.
Food and wine pairing:
Best if served at 18-20°C with strongly-flavoured pasta dishes with tomato sauce, roast meats, particularly beef, and semi-mature cheeses.
Tasting notes:
Rich ruby red color. Intense aroma of fruit with nuances of black cherry and wild berries, fragrance of vanilla. Well-structured wine, warm and balanced, with soft tannin.
Winemaker’s notes:
Handpicked in the second half of October. The grapes are naturally dried for about one month, then destemmed and directed to small steel tanks for the fermentation under controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, both wine and the grape skins are pressed and the wine is stored in steel tanks. Malo-lactic fermentation. The wine ages for 12 months in semi-toasted French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle.
